Founder Bak Kut Teh only uses fresh pork ribs, boiled for many hours with specially formulated recipes of herbs and spices. The original recipe was created by the owner - Mr. Chua, founder of Founder Bak Kut Teh - a famous brand for 40 years.

The Father of Founder Bak Kut Teh, Mr.Chua, was born in a farmer family. His family doing the pig rising in Seletar – North West Singapore. He has his passion in Bak Kut Teh but hadn’t found any well – qualified recipe for the taste at that time, especially the ingredients. With his traditional cuisine passion, he decided to work on the finest recipe of cooking Bak Kut Teh by his family farm’s pork.
After times with efforts, he opened his first small Bak Kut Teh in the late 1970s and call himself the “founder”. Everything was fine until he has no choice but leaving his farm due to the resettlement order from the government.
It was not until 1988, he opened another bigger restaurant. Later, Founder Bak Kut Teh became widely known in Singapore and expanding its reputation to the ASEAN: from Malaysia to Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and finally to our Vietnam.
